Local Regional Review

Partnerships

Local Regional Review considers collaborations that are relevant to readers interested in geography and place. Proposals can be sent through the Contact page; any accepted commercial relationship remains distinct from independent editorial decisions.

Possible collaborations

We consider clearly defined projects such as a commissioned explanatory feature, a themed content collaboration, or a placement that connects readers with a relevant resource. A proposal should describe the subject, audience, proposed format and commercial arrangement without implying editorial approval.

Partner placements

Relevant partner links or placements may appear across the site where they fit the surrounding subject. They are labelled so readers can distinguish commercial material from independent editorial content. Payment does not secure a favourable review, a particular conclusion or the removal of reasonable criticism.

How to propose an idea

Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Include the organization or product involved, the proposed placement or collaboration, and any relevant terms. We assess proposals for relevance and clarity; sending one does not guarantee acceptance.

Our point of view

Maps are arguments about place

A boundary can clarify one thing and hide another. We look beyond the line to the terrain, routes and relationships that give a region its character.
